Who wouldn’t like to have a Jack of all trades to fall back on? You call on him and he delivers everything. But what can be a theoretical relief is not something that always works so well in real life.

Nevertheless, many business people currently feel that they have to meet many different requirements: Keeping the company above water, developing new business ideas and models, developing and implementing flexible personnel concepts, justifying and applying for financial support. And at the same time not losing sight of the family and oneself.
Who could possibly manage all of that?
Not only do you need superpowers, but you also need a variety of skills that have so far not been required, or only to a limited extent.
The answer may be obvious, but perhaps you’re about to say: “Well, yeah, it’s like saying, ‘Science has established that smoking is no longer harmful – signed Dr. Marlboro”. Because of course the answer is: Get external support on board! And of course I could be that person. But irrespective of what I could do – calling in external experts to support you has many advantages:
- They’ve got experience with situations that are difficult to plan and in which you yourself might be finding yourself for the first time.
- They’ve got enough interest in your company to lead it out of the crisis, but little enough interest to look into unpleasant corners and clean them up.
- They bring along competences that you will only need in the short to medium term until the ship is back in calm waters.
- They will talk to you at eye level because they are not part of the family or the close circle of employees. And that can be very inspiring, as new ideas can develop during the conversation.
Of course, competent support costs money. But if you include all components in the calculation, it may well be the cheaper option. And if external experts help you to further utilise your own potential, you will be much smarter after the cooperation and you will be a step closer to the Jack of all trades with superwoman qualities.
If you are looking for a counterpart with experience and refreshing new ideas: just give me a call!
